Required controlling actions during Fire Emergency in Garments Factory
Introduction
Safety is the first thing for life. If you work in the Garments industry you have to be aware of fire safety to save yourself from burning. The fire spread around throughout the garments in no time. History says many people had died in a fire during work in a garment factory, proper training and guideline can save many lives from fire. A factory should take all necessary steps not to generate fire, checking fire drill weekly basis, checking all fire removing equipment, emergency light, and door. Here I am giving must be doing work sequence during the Fire Emergency situation in Garments Factory.
Work sequence during Fire Emergency situation in Garments Factory
1. There are fire directors to give an emergency signal to inform all. If not alarm automatically, need to do manually press the button that sees or senses the occurrence as fast as possible.
2. There are water nozzles that burst in temperature up to 60 degrees Celsius. In case of fire, it will be good to break it manually for safety purposes.
3. A fire extinguisher can be operated by trained firefighters. Improper use or wrong fire extinguishing material can cause more damage.
4. There is a water hose pipe after every fixed distance. This can be used in case of an emergency.
5. Fire door needs to be locked to avoid spreading the fire.
6. Any chemical or product that can enhance fire spreading, needs to move away from the place.
7. Escalator & lift should be avoided to evacuate the place.
8. Everyone needs to be calm & evacuate by using the stair line by line. Hurry can make injury or death.
9. In case of excess fire or smoke spreads, need to co-operate with the fire-service team.
10. All-electric main switch, gas line, etc. have to switch off.
11. Stay with a group of people and try to inform location by communicating device, mike etc.
12. If in an emergency anyone gets caught by fire should not move & run. He/she will lie down & spring to eliminate oxygen flow & remove fire.
13. Emergency gateway, path & door will be followed line by line.
14. After safe evacuation, all will wait fixed assembly point. It helps to count if there is anyone left in hazard or not.
15. Overall it is the time when everyone needs to be mentally balanced to save themselves as well as others with others. Life is more important than money or resource. We need to apply our training & leanings from fire drills to keep ourselves safe & sound.
